SEASON 3
In Season 3 we find no continuation off the second season but a completely new beginning. Digimon (the last 2 seasons) are a tv show, digimon card games are played, and digimon do not "exist". There are three new characters in the show: Takato, Rika, and Henry. The kids do not go to the digital world in the beginning and find their partners like the last two seasons. Instead, each finds their own partners in various ways. For example, Takato drew his digimon, Guillmon, and made it come to life through a mysterious blue card. Henry met his digimon, Terriormon, through a digimon computer game and they became partners. Rika, the digimon card game queen, was sitting in a room, everything suddenly had gone black, and mysterious digimon shadows appeared on the walls each pleading her to choose them as her partner. The shadows, one by one, disappeared and Renamon was left. The three tamers, not digidestined, battle dangerous digimon that appear in Japan using there game cards to battle and collecting the opponents data for strength. Each of the digimon can digivolve with the help of one little untamed digimon, Calumon, and with help from the tamers themselves. There is no main villian to face in the beginning of the season but there are people who are in the way of the tamers. One is Yamaki, a man who runs a huge company which intends on destroying digimon from hurting the earth. In the beginning, he isn't very fond of the tamers and their digimon but things change at the end. Impmon is a crude and rude digimon. He hates the partnership of humans and digimon, and believes humans are just using digimon. Impmon has a great dislike for the tamers. He is another partner-less digimon, once having a bad experience with his past partners (two little kids). However he yearns to evolve and be strong, powerful digimon. Throughout the season, Takato, Rika, and Henry learn bravery, independence, and friendship with the help of their digimon, meeting new tamers along their journey..
